Our Volunteers

The Lone Soldier Center in memory of Michael Levin is able to provide its support and programming thanks to the over 100 amazing volunteers who give of their time daily. Many are young parents and recently released lone soldiers themselves.  Please find below short bios on a few of them:

Tziki Aud

Tziki Aud is one of the Center’s oldest volunteers, a veteran of the Yom Kippur War and the First Lebanon War, wounded, recieved citations, and went on to help immigrants for 30+ years with the Jewish Agency, and today Senior Advisor at the Lone Soldier Center.

 Jared White

Jared made Aliyah from a rural town in central Florida, served as a Sergeant in the 101st Paratroopers Brigade, fighting in Gaza and Southern Lebanon. Since his discharge in 2009, Jared has spent hundreds of hours each month volunteering as an advisor: guiding, assisting and helping dozens of new immigrants each month as they begin their service in the IDF.

 Danna Yatziv

Danna Yatziv served as a lone soldier in the combat infantry training school. Today she volunteers at the Center arranging volunteer teams to bring furniture to lone soldiers’ apartments. Danna is AMAZINGLY positive, even when trucks break down, soldiers aren’t home, and even in the pouring rain.

Avi Margolin

Avi Margolin is a former lone soldier from Oakland California who served in the Nahal infantry brigade.  For the past two years, Avi spends his one free day a week picking up and delivering furniture to lone soldiers in need.  Avi works as a licensed tour guide (avi.margolin@gmail. com)  instilling a love of Israel in youth and adults from the world over.  Thank you so much for everything you do Avi, you are a true inspiration!
