When Everything Stops, Care Must Continue
When Israel returns to war, life changes instantly.
Curfews are imposed. Families sleep with their shoes by the bed, ready to run to shelters with their children. Many of the very people who care for soldiers are suddenly called into reserve duty themselves.
This is the reality of war in Israel.
Lone Soldiers are stationed across the country at bases, Iron Dome batteries, and Shetachei Kinus — the staging areas where soldiers wait before entering combat. Many remain in place for extended periods of time with no ability to go home, no access to laundry, and no one who can easily bring them clean clothes or essential supplies. Families are under curfew. Volunteers and staff are in uniform. There is simply no break.
It is winter.
It is cold.
And it is war.
Clean socks. Warm layers. Toiletries. A piece of candy.
These are not luxuries. They are necessities.
During emergencies, the Lone Soldier Center assembles and delivers emergency care packages directly to Lone Soldiers, even during curfews and active conflict. Each package meets urgent physical needs and includes something just as critical: a personal message from you, reminding the soldier that they are not alone.
